Coffee Flair

Posted by Philippine Money News at 12.6.10 0 comments
After looking for money opportunities online, I came across Cafe Press. They sell customized t-shirts and other items.  Furthermore, I ran across their service where you can open shop within Cafe Press, create your own design, and make profits from those you have created for every order sold. You can then use these credits to buy items or better yet, upgrade to a Premium shop.

I have created a shop with the idea of coffee. I searched for some images online, edited them a bit, and opened shop.

Check out the designs I've made here at CoffeeFlair. One of them was a template provided by Cafe Press.

With my shop, you can buy t-shirts with my designs and customize it with the color and size that you want. Other items are great too! The coffee designs are great on coffee mugs of course! You can actually use it as a coffee guide :) Plus, the baby outfits are too cute!

Nintendo DS Unresponsive Screen

Posted by Philippine Money News at 27.10.08 0 comments
A year after I got my Nintendo DS, I faced a big big problem. Suddenly, my DS' touchscreen seemed broken. The whole touchscreen was unresponsive to my stylus, my fingers, and the toothpick; even calibrating does not work.

What did I do before that happened?

I left it in my sisters' care for one week. They've been addicted to Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. That game uses too much of the touchscreen and they're kids under twelve. I did teach them how to properly use and care for it. But they still tend to put more pressure on the screen, and thus making my screen protector's life shorter.

I always change the protector every month, because I play it a lot. But since I have let my sisters use it as well, I then decided that it was time to change the plastic screen protector.

After sticking the new plastic screen protector on the DS screen, and going into the DS menu to calibrate it, nothing was happening with my touches. I restarted and it was still unresponsive. I checked to see if the games start and if the buttons work: good. The LCD color displays were also okay, (except for the dead pixel I got straight from the box.)  I waited a few hours to let it sit, and thought maybe it was just a bug that will go away.

After a few days of trying, nothing worked... I became so worried.. I was already thinking of where to get it fixed... sigh...

I then tried researching online for tips or topics about responsiveness of the touchscreen before going to the repair shop. And through numerous posts and discussions, I found a connection and the solution. Someone said that sometimes the plastic pushes on the screen and as a result the bottom screen becomes unresponsive.

I immediately checked my DS and saw that the screen protector I got was a bit too big and didn't exactly fit the screen. When I replaced it with new ones and made sure I sticked it neatly, my problem was solved!

I couldn't make a thank you note to the guy who shared that. So instead, I'm making this post in case someone encounters the same issue. Cheers!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Posted by Philippine Money News at 23.5.07 0 comments

I'd watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End until this earth meets its own edge just for the love of Johnny Depp

At World's End is half of the story started by POTC: Dead Man's Chest. Neither of these two, in my opinion, is at par with the surprisingly successful POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl. Now, that subtitle wasn't even there when it was first released. They added it when some greedy people in the production also plunged into the sequel hype. Hmm, I really can't say I loathe that, because like what I said earlier, I'd watch this again just for the love of Johnny Depp.

I say, I give this film short of 0.10 to make it a four out of a five star rating.

It didn't failed to entertain me, and I am not counting the flood of Sparrows I have seen with that statement. But it fell short of surprising me just like how the first one was so cunningly created. And there were some things that bothered me. Here, I must stop for the fear of spoiling.

And I owe them all money.

Jack Sparrow is still the character to watch out for. His language, scripts, and antics are still the same Captain that we all fell in love with. Johnny Depp is forever adorable ~ But I must say, Geoffrey Rush's delivery was better in this film :D

DO watch it if you LOVE Jack Sparrow. DO watch it if you LOVE Johnny Depp. You will definitely get drowned of Jack Johhny Sparrow Depp in this film XD~

The film is more than three hours, and trending from the earlier POTCs, stay in your seats until the last credits roll in ;) And oh, don't forget to bring peanuts when you do watch it. I'm not kidding! ;) (I was lucky that a store clerk forced me into buying a pack of peanuts earlier because she had no change).

Ah, peanuts.
